Royal father make case for start up pack for trainees

The International Vocational Technical and Entrepreneurship College IVTEC, Ajase-Ipo, has matriculated four hundred and sixty eight students for the special certificate programme in the first circle of the 2019 academic programme.

Rector of the College, Dr Ade Somide in his remarks at the orientation and matriculation ceremony for the new intake, said the trainees were sponsored and supported by World Bank, N-power, KWIRS , Youth Employment and Social Support Operation YESSO and privately sponsored.

Dr Somide said the event was designed to formally admit trainees into special certificate programme, which will build them up to become self reliant in technical and entrepreneurial skills.

In her remarks, Permanent Secretary, Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Mariam Garuba urged the matriculating students to be focused and determined, so they can excel in their chosen field.

 His Royal Highness, the Olupo of Ajase, Oba Sikiru Atanda Sanni Woleola ll commended the state government for establishment of the college.

He charged the State Government to go a step further by providing business start up pack for the trainees after graduation, to serve as an empowerment tool for them.

The royal father also advised the newly admitted students to take their studies seriously and obey the rules and regulations of the college.
