FG saves N300bn through IPPIS

The Federal government says the Integrated Payroll and Personal Information, IPPIS had saved the country about N300 billion in the last 2 years.

The Accountant General of the Federation, AGF, Mallam Ahmed Idris stated this during an interactive meeting with National Executives of University Unions in Abuja.

Mallam Ahmed Idris represented by the Director of IPPIS in the office of the AGF, Mr. Olufehinti Olufemi, explained that the IPPIS was introduced to ensure accountability and transparency in Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the federal government and not to compromise the university autonomy.

The Meeting was to enlighten the University unions on the planned enrolment to the IPPIS platform.

The event was attended by the ASUU, SSANU and other union executives in federal government owned universities.
