Gov Sanwo-Olu said; “I assured them that the State Government will ensure that as humanly possible, we’ll keep all and everyone of them alive”
The State Government had announced that it would offset the hospital bills of all the victims admitted at the Gbagada burns centre and the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, in Ikeja
Governor Sanwo-Olu who described the incidence as unfortunate pointed out that the issue of pipeline fire caused by vandalism is a security and crime affair which the appropriate authorities are already looking into and appealed to residents to shy away from engaging in the nefarious activity, while those living in areas prone to such should report whenever they cite the vandals.
The fire which occurred on the 4th of this month destroyed properties worth millions of naira and claimed some lives was caused by activities of vandals who have been siphoning petrol from the NNPC pipelines in that axis.
