Nasarawa State government is to inaugurate the distribution of relief materials brought by the National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons to improve the living condition of less privileged in the state.
Inspecting the materials in Keana, Obi and Lafia local government areas, the deputy governor Doctor Emmanuel Akabe advocated the early distribution of the materials to avoid wastage.
Speaking to newsmen in Lafia after inspecting the materials, the deputy governor said, the gesture will help the beneficiaries in no small measure.
Doctor Akabe stressed that the farm inputs such as seedlings and chemicals available will be distributed to farmers to enhance their farming activities this season.
The Federal Commissioner Hajiya Saddiya Umar who was represented during the inspection said the delay in distribution was due to the need for assessment by the commission.
