Government at all levels have been urged to create an enabling environment for Nigerians to venture into full scale agriculture in order to take them out of poverty.
A financial expert Abdulmumini Jawondo made the call while speaking with Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Ilorin.
According to him it is only agriculture that can remove Nigerians out of poverty.
Mr Jawondo explained that if government properly key into agriculture which has a very large value chain it can provide solutions to more than 50 percent problems confronting the nation.
He noted that government should be able to provide incentives in form of farm input and good infrastructure to encourage the teaming youths to venture into agriculture .
Mr Jawondo advised that both subsistence and high mechanised farmer should be encouraged to remain in agric business inorder to reduce crimes associated with rural urban migration.
He however urged government to create an avenue for farmer to get market for their farm produce to reduce wastages.
