Taraba NLC demands payment of minimum wage

The Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress NLC in Taraba state, Comrade Peter Gambo has appealed to Governor Darius Ishaku to ensure the payment of approved thirty thousand naira new minimum wage to civil servants.

Comrade Gambo who made this plea in an interview with newsmen in Jalingo, expressed optimism that the state Governor would implement the national minimum wage because of his passion for the welfare workers.

Comrade Gambo said the implementation would motivate and improve the well being of civil servants in the state.

“Creating opportunities for these unemployed teaming youths, mostly women and youths who are the largest within the society will surely minimize the rate of crimes in our society”.

The chairman want the government to motivate the workers, because they have the capacity to deliver.

On the insecurity, the Taraba state NLC Chairman called on people to promote peace and unity for the development of the state.
