Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa in Nasarawa state says it has concluded arrangements to commence degree programmes in the institution.
Rector of the Polytechnic Alhaji Abdullahi Alhassan dropped the hint at a news briefing in Nasarawa.
Abdullahi Alhassan stated that the Polytechnic has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Federal University of Technology Mina, Niger state, ATBU Bauchi and ABU Zaria to commence degree programmes soon.
The Rector noted that four universities in China have given approval to collaborate with the Polytechnic to offer courses in Rail Transportation as according to him, plans are under way to send some staff of the institution to China for training.
He expressed optimism that the Polytechnic has all the human resources to commence the degree programmes.
Abullahi Alhassan commended the National Universities Commission for granting approval to commence decree programmes in the Polytechnic describing it as landmark steps towards enhancing science and technology in the country.
