The Nigerian Army says it determined to protect the territorial integrity of the country and get rid of the remnants of unrepentant terrorist groups.
The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Burutai announced this at the opening of Nigerian Army Doctrine And Combat Development Leadership Workshop for Junior Commanders holding in Minna.
Represented by Major General Kasimu Abdulkarim the Chief of Army Staff said the bottom up approach to training adopted in this regard is commendable as one of the main challenges in their engagement with adversaries in counter terrorism and counter insurgency operations is with the junior leadership.
Lieutenant General Tukur Burutai however commended President Muhammadu Buhari for always providing the resources to the Nigerian Army for its administration operations and training which had yielded positive results.
In his remarks the Commandant Training And Doctrine Command Nigerian Army Major General Ademo Salihu explained that the adoption of bottom up approach is to create awareness on the importance of manual war gaming in military planing and operations.
Represented by Major General Yakubu Auta the Commandant charged participants to be serious to justify d huge Investment of government.
In a goodwill message Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Security Brigadier General Ndagulu Imam the Governor said he will continue to identify with security agencies in their task of ensuring that Niger state is free from security challenges.
