Kwara Gov-elect calls for peace

Kwara State Governor-elect Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has called on Christians to reflect on the lessons of Easter and translate same to everyday events in their lives.

The governor made the call in a statement issued by his media aide , Rafiu Ajakaye in Ilorin.

Alhaji Abdulrahman congratulated Christians on the successful completion of the Lent and Easter celebration.

According to him the period reminds everyone of the sacrifice, selflessness and commitment of Jesus Christ.

Alhaji Abdulrahman enjoined the people of the state to relate with one another on the basis of common brotherhood, love and generosity.

He urged everyone to also strive to bequeath a legacy of peace and selflessness to the coming generations, as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

Alhaji Abdulrahman also advised the people of Kwara state to come together for common good and show kindness, adding that they should also shun all acts of criminality and violence.
