Kwara State Governor-Elect Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has assured to run a government that will serve the best interest of the people of the state.
Alhaji Abdul-Rahman gave the assurance while inaugurating the eighty- man transition Committee in Ilorin.
He explained that the huge margin of his victory at the polls suggests that the people were fed up with the status quo and want a new approach to governance.
Alhaji Abdul-Rahman said the incoming administration must understand the current governance structure in the state, adding that it must also know how the current system works to be able to know where to start.
He explained that there is need to know what is in the books in terms of financial receipts, obligations, contracts and other things.
Alhaji Abdulrazaq urged the committee to discharge their duties in a way that would help the new government to serve the people.
In a remark Chairman of the committee Aminu Adisa said their job is to bridge the gap between the outgoing and the incoming government.
