FG inaugurates presidential inauguration committee

The Federal Government has inaugurated a 16-member Inter-ministerial Presidential Inauguration Committee to plan and coordinating activities towards a successful inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29.

At the inauguration in Abuja, the chairman of the Inter-ministerial Committee and the Secretary to the government of the federation, Mr Boss Mustapha said federal government remained committed to achieving sustainable economic growth, secure and corruption free nation.

According to the Mr Boss Mustapha, the terms of Reference (TOR) of the committee are to plan, organize and execute all approved activities for the 2019 Presidential Inauguration, co-opt any organization(s) person(s) relevant to the successful execution of the programme.

Other TOR, includes, documentation for posterity, all planned activities for the Inauguration and carry out any other assignment as may be required towards the successful implementation of the programme.

The SGF reminded the committee members of the importance of the assignment and that ”no stone should be left unturned” to ensure that the Committee delivers on its mandate.

The members of the committee consist of 8 Ministers, including the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, other head of agencies and Permanent secretaries.
