The Adamawa State Chapter of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disability in collaboration with an NGO Search for Common Ground has staged a street rally advocating for peaceful election during the Governorship and House of Assembly polls this Saturday.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the rally, the State Public Relations Officer of the Association, Mr Bitrus Richard said if violence occurred during the election, women, children and those people with special needs would be at the receiving end.
He, however, called on youth to shun thuggery during and after election as well as Nigerians to stay away from politics of religion and ethnicity by considering being one entity.
Abubakar Baba Mustapha, North East Zonal Coordinator, Search for Common Ground said they engage those people with special needs for the rally as they would be the worst hit during any violence.
