The Action Democratic Party in Plateau state says it will restore schools through upgrading and rehabilitation as well as retraining of staff across board.
The Gubernatorial candidate of the party in the state, General Jon Temlong stated this when he visited the Agwom Izere in Jos East Local Government Area of the state Dr Isaac Ali Wakili.
General Temlong said it was time to address the challenges facing the state in order to achieve lasting peace.
He noted that his administration will reintroduce sanitary inspectors to ensure cleanliness in hospitals and the state at large as was the case in the 1960s.
Responding, the Agwom Izere called on the Gubernatorial candidate to deploy his wealth of experience as a retired general to restore peace in the state.
Some stakeholders at the event called on General Temlong to establish an educational institution in the state if elected into power.
The Women leader of the party Mrs Mary Waziri stressed the need for women and youth to be given an opportunity to participate in his administration.
Other traditional rulers whom he visited urged him to bring development to the area and always stand by the truth, just like the late Solomon Lar did.
