The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, says his men collaborated with other security agencies to ensure peaceful conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections
The Commandant General, NSCDC, Mr Abdullahi Muhammadu stated this after an assessment tour of the security situation in Nasarawa, Niger, Kaduna States and the Federal Capital Territory.
The Corps who visited forty polling units across four states expressed the hope of free and fair election.
Mr Abdullahi Muhammadu said security of lives and property was very key to the sustenance of peaceful election in the country.
He commended the security personnel for their professionalism during the polls, and called on Nigerians to remain calm and accept the outcome of the elections in good faith.
