President Mohammadu Buhari has called on Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to increase oil exploration services and production for the socio-economic development of the country.
The President made the call today at the inauguration of the Spud-in of Kolmani River-2 Well in Benue Trough in Gombe State.
The President promised to give priority to other critical sector of the economy.

He maintained that his administration would continue to promote a virile economy, fight against corruption and securing lives and property in the country.
The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr Maikanti Baru said the project would boost the Country’s production of oil and gas reserves base.
Some of the Engineers of the Project described the inauguration as a boost for oil exploration and a way of providing mass employment opportunities to the people.
According to the statement from NNPC, The desire of the Corporation is to increase the national oil and gas reserves base to forty billion barrels and three million barrels per day production by 2020.
