Retired Nigeria international, Victor Moses could return to competitive football action tonight at Wembley stadium where Chelsea will face Tottenham Hotspur in the first semi-final of the EFL Cup (Carabao Cup).
The twenty-seven-year-old Nigerian wing-back made a surprise appearance on Chelsea’s bench in Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest last weekend.
The FA Cup Third Round clash at Stamford Bridge came more than ten weeks after Moses last made Mauriccio Sarri’s matchday squad list.
Reports from the London club, cited by Complete Sports, say the former Super Eagles player may be about to make his second start of the season tonight.
Moses’ first and only start of the 2018-2019 season came in the Carabao Cup victory over Liverpool at Anfield last September.
If he features tonight, the Nigerian-born winger, who is being sought-after by several EPL clubs, will be making his 20th appearance in the competition since August 2008 when he made his debut in Crystal Palace’s 2-1 defeat of Hereford at Selhurst Park.
