El Rufa’i promises fair polls

The Governor of Kaduna State Malam Nasiru Elrufai has assured people of the state that his party will not rig election and will ensure adequate security to protect electorate during election.

He stated this during an interactive session with religious, traditional and youth leaders in Lere local government area of the state.

Mal Nasiru appealed to community leaders and other stakeholders to educate youths not to allow any politician to engage them into political thuggery and other social vices during election period.

He stated that two tertiary institutions would be established in Lere local government which include Campus of Kaduna state University and College of Nursing and Midwifery.

According to the governor, the construction of college of Nursing and Midwifery had commenced.

He expressed the state government readiness to support farmers with a view to improve farming activities in the local government stressing that Lere local government was in forefront in massive farming production.

Malam Nasiru emphasized the need for people to come out en-masse during election to vote candidates of their choice that can bring positive development in their area not the one that would loot treasury.

He promised to provide road network to ease transportation difficulties in the council.

The Governor commended the stakeholders for their role toward maintaining peaceful coexistence in the local government.

The Director General of Elrufai Campaign Mr Ben Kure called on the people of Lere local government to support APC administration at all level to enable the party to consolidate on the projects it started.
