Immigration apprehends 12 traffickers, 93 victims in Katsina

Katsina State command of the Nigerian Immigration Service says it has intercepted 12 suspected human traffickers and 93 victims from January to December 2018.

In a statement, the command revealed that 245 irregular migrants were also repatriated out of the country in the year under review.

It added that it had refused admission for 572 non Nigerians for lack of valid travel documents.

The command also stated that it arrived 29,555 passengers into the country and departed 34,634 passengers out of the country through the seven borders the state shares with Niger Republic.
