The Ogun State House of Assembly has passed the sum of Four hundred billion naira as the 2019 budget for the State,.
This was a reduction of two point six three billion naira from last year’s budget.
The passage followed the adoption of the report of the budget by the Chairman, House Committee on Finance and Appropriation, Mr Victor Fasanya, seconded by Mr Idowu Olowofuja and supported by the whole House, during a plenary.
According to the report, the reccurent expenditure is increased from one hundred and twenty five point zero seven billion naira to one hundred and twenty six point one six billion naira while the capital expenditure is reduced from two hundred and fifty four point zero five to two hundred fifty point three billion naira.
The Speaker of the House, Prince Suraj Adekunbi directed that a clean copy of the appropriation bill be sent to Governor Ibikunle Amosun for his assent.
Governor Amosun had last month presented an estimate of four hundred and two point six billion naira to the House for passage, as the apprropriation bill for the next fiscal.
Meanwhile, three other bills were passed into law and sent to the Governor for his assent
