The gubernatorial candidate of Alliance for Democracy in Lagos State, Chief Owolabi Salis has urged Nigerians to imbibe Prophet Muhammad’s tolerance, selflessness and courage to accelerate the growth & development of the nation.
Chief Salis gave this charge while delivering lecture in celebration of Eid-Maulud with the League of Imams in Ikeja Central Mosque.
He emphasised that the life of the Prophet is a compendium to learn from to ensure the growth of the country.
Speaking on the theme “Bridging the gap between the poor and the rich for a safe society” Chief Salis encouraged the Islamic clerics to prioritise preaching against selfishness and promotion of selflessness to end corruption in the nation.
He also called on all political parties’ candidates to conduct violence free and issue based campaigns as parties officially begin electoral campaigns in the interest of the masses.
Chief Owolabi Salis urged all Muslims to offer prayers for progress, peace and unity of the Country.
