The Edo State Police Command has paraded a four-man kidnapping gang over the kidnap of three women and the rape of one of the victims.
Parading the suspects on behalf of the state commissioner of police, Mr. Babatunde Kokumo, a deputy commissioner of police, Mr. Danjuma Lawal stated that the criminals lured their victims under the guise of operating commercial bus service.
The women said they were abducted on their way home after the close of work at about seven o’clock in the evening.
The suspects confessed to committing the crime, blaming their attitude on the quest to raise money for their financial needs.
The Edo State police command also paraded a ten-man gang over alleged involvement in cult activities and armed robbery.
Items recovered from the suspects included locally made guns, 10 live cartridges, a bus and a mobile phone.
