The Federal Government is to supply relief materials to flood ravaged areas in Anambra State.
This is to help in alleviating the plight of those displaced by the flood.
The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo announced this when he visited some of the communities submerged by flood in the area.
Speaking at the Omambala River Bridge, Umueze Anam, Professor Osinbajo explained that the National Emergency Management Agency also came with some relief materials for the victims.
He advised residents still inhabiting the flooded areas to relocate for their safety.
Governor Willie Obiano said the residents had earlier been asked to leave the flood prone areas.
The Vice President was accompanied on the visit by the Governor of Delta State, Doctor Ifeanyi Okowa, Minister of Labor and Employment, Doctor Chris Ngige and the Director General of NEMA, Alhaji Mustapha Maihaja.
