The Nigerian embassy in the united states says its doors are always open to all Nigerians and foreigners in line with its mandate of being the country’s mission and face in the US.
The Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Sylvanus Nsofor stated this when he received a team of Nigerian journalists led by the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of journalists Abuja council Mr. Paul Ella Abechi in Washington DC.
The visibly excited Ambassador told the team of journalists that the embassy is guided by the principle of humility, friendliness, openness and love for all in line with his personal philosophy.
Mr Nsofor urged Nigerians to disregard the criticisms trailing his age, explaining that everyone, regardless of their age loved good things.
In a remark, the chairman of the NUJ Abuja council Mr Paul Ella Abechi appreciated the Ambassador and the entire staff of the embassy for the warm reception accorded the team.
Mr Abechi commended the Nigerian government for the befitting embassy complex in the US.
Ambassador Sylvanus Nsofor’s appointment last year by President Mohammadu Buhari was greeted by criticisms from some quarters because of his age, 82.
