Stakeholders advocate policies to end social vices

Some Stakeholders in Nation Building have advocated policies that will put an end to social vices among young people.

They made the call at an event organized by a Private School in Jikwoyi to mark this year’ Children day.

One of them, the Jikwoyi Division Police Officer, CSP Emega John stressed the need for Government to ensure free Education to address crime in the society.

A Director with the National Orientation Agency, Mr. David Dogo called on the Parents to inculcate, Discipline and good Values in their Children to achieve a Violence Free Society.

The Director of the School, Mrs Gloria Jeremiah attributed the cause of decadence to peer group influence and advised Parents to complement efforts of Teachers by building mutual relationships with their Wards.

Some Pupils of the School called on the Government to ameliorate the challenges confronting children particularly, those in IDPCamps.

They also called on Government to implement a new National Minimum Wage for their Parents to give them quality Education.
