Kaduna transporters seek intervention for vehicle acquisition

The Nigeria Association of Road Transport owners NARTO Kaduna State Branch has expressed its readiness to  collaborate with the Kaduna state government in formulating policies that will enhance effective road transportation in the state.

The chairman of the association in the state, Alhaji Yusuf Lawal made this known  when he led a delegation of itS members on a courtesy visit to Governor Nasir Ahmad El rufai at government house Kaduna.

He called on the state  Government to introduce an intervention scheme for vehicle acquisition to enable them facilitate urban, rural and interstate transport services for the benefit of  citizens of the state.

The Chairman of the association further requested  the  state government to hand over the ongoing trailer park being constructed by  government to manage by the group upon  completion.

Alhaji Yusuf Lawal also stressed the need for the  government to provide them with land to build its secretariat and  expressed support to  Governor Nasiru El-rufai developmental project across the state.

Governor Nasiru El-rufai said the trailer parks which was under construction would have facilities such as hotels ,shopping mall ,restaurant among other things .

According to the governor, the project  would engulf  over two billion Naira  aside other facilities.

He also called on the association to exercise patience and return in three months time to finalize the process on whether it would handover to them or other private investors.

Governor El-rufai also reiterate that  his administration continues  support for the group ,adding that on the issue of land it would be provided as requested by the group
