Intercessors pray for peace in Nigeria

A special national prayer summit for peace, restoration, unity and prosperity of Nigeria was held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja

The prayer conference which was organised by Watchman Gospel International Network “with the theme, Prayer Changes Thing attracted participants from different states in the federation.

The convener of the annual intercessory prayer Archbishop David Okponoesip said the conference was a response to the leading of God on the need for Nigerians to rise up with one voice in prayer until the nation was set free from yoke of insecurity and economic challenges.

While expressing satisfaction on the level of participation, he called on Nigerians to desist from criticism but rather join in praying for the nation.

The Acting Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, Dr. Usman Abubakar who was represented by Ms Sharon Òkpè said the commission had established a platform to interact with faith based organizations at ensuring moral rebirth in the country.

The prayer session which focused on different aspects of national life also featured christian artistes who led sessions of praise and worship.
