Security has been beefed up following an attack on Dapchi town the headquarters of Bursari local government by suspected Boko haram members
The Yobe state commissioner of Police, Abdumaliki Sunmonu who confirmed the incident said security operatives have been mobilized to the location .
Though details of the attack are sketchy, according to an eye witness, the attackers stormed Government Girls Secondary Dapchi suspected to be their main target around 7:00pm through the eastern part of the town shooting sporadically.
He also claimed that the staff and the students of the school ran into the Bush for safety.
A Resident of the Malam Bulama Musa also revealed that the attackers came to the village in six hilux vans and attacked military location at the town entrance bridge.
There is no report of any abduction or casualty yet as we await further clarification from officials this morning.
