Nigeria Pilgrims to Israel have been enjoined to shun all forms of social vices during pilgrimage.
The call was made by the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong at the National flag-off of this year’s pilgrimage to Israel in Gombe on Wednesday.
He called on the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Nigeria and their respective states while they perform the spiritual exercise.
Also the Gombe State Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Charles Iliya called on the pilgrims to be committed to their spiritual status while in Israel.
He called on the officials of the commission to be dedicated to serving the people.
The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Reverend Toh Uja said at present, a total of about seven thousand pilgrims are performing this year’s pilgrimage across the country.
He also thanked state governors who assisted in sponsoring majority of the pilgrims.
The airline, Onur air is expected to airlift 253 Pilgrims from Gombe and 77 from Bauchi states.
