The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC has begun the Monitoring of Petrol distribution nationwide to cushion the effect of long queues at Filling Stations.

The Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division of NNPC, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu in an Interaction with Radio Nigeria said the Corporation remained committed to efforts aimed at ensuring that Nigerians do not suffer hardship in getting Petroleum Products.

According to Mr. Ughamadu, there is enough Petrol in stock to serve the entire nation for the next twenty days adding that, more of the commodity is being expected from the Ports.

The GGM, Public Affairs Division of NNPC noted that the Group Managing Director of the Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru is addressing the situation.

Mr. Ughamadu who explained that a Monitoring Team has been put in place to check excesses of Marketers and other dealers advised Nigerians not to embark on panic buying which results to hoarding of the Commodity by retailers.
