LEAN ON ME is a two hour, thirty minutes phone in programme that proffers solutions to people’s problems on Radio.
The six year old programme is broadcast on Monday at half past ten in the night, on Kapital FM 92.9, Abuja.
It is a household name which residents of Abuja and its environs relate to, as members of one big family.
The 22nd of September, 2007, was therefore a memorable day as over five thousand listeners to the programme, converged on the Christian Pilgrims Centre, Zone 5, Wuse Abuja for the first national conference.
The Nigeria Police Force was on hand to provide security. That was not all from the police; its image maker; Haz Iwendi delivered an incisive talk on Police-Community Relations.
The National Human Right Commission was equally well represented at the epoch-making event which was meant to take the programme to a greater height.
The host and General Manager Kapital FM, Mallam Mohammed Bello was also in attendance alongside, the Manager, Mrs Mercy Njoku.
It was a happy moment for the producer of the programme Tony Amole, Uncle T as he is popularly called, as it was a dream come true for him.
The NTA Abuja and some other media organizations were there for the coverage of the colourful event.
The people made a lot of contributions on their expectations on the programme and how to take it to a greater height. There was also LEAN ON ME LIVE, during which the programme was presented LIVE to the admiration of the people present.
Money, food items, clothes and lots of other goodies were donated to three children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Their case was earlier treated on Radio.
LEAN ON ME, which is waxing stronger everyday, with the help of God, the management of Radio Nigeria Abuja National Station and support of well meaning Nigerians, had touched the downtrodden, dispossessed, and oppressed.
The programme, LEAN ON ME is pro-poor.
