The Kwara state Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has warned drug traffickers and users to either shun the act or leave the State.
The State Commander of the agency, Mr Ambrose Umoru gave the warning while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin.
According to him the agency will go after any individual or group who indulge in drug trafficking in the State.
Mr Ambrose advised drug traffickers to have a rethink and also consider the havoc caused as a result of drug addiction.
He also said the command was making preparations to commence enlightenment in primary and secondary schools as well as higher institutions to educate the students on the effect of drugs to their health.
The Commander noted that experts will be invited to talk to the students on the ills of getting involved in drug taken.
Mr Ambrose also expressed worry over the involvement of women in drug addiction.
He called on parents to have interest in monitoring the activities of their children adding that they should report any strange behavior to the agency for prompt action.
Mr Ambrose also assured that the command was committed at ensuring that the State was freed from illicit drug trafficking.
